About the grenzeloos
A Rich History
This unique patrol boat was built in 1967 in Germany by Yachtwerft Berlin. It was used to patrol the Elbe River between West and East Germany.
After the Fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 there was no use for these boats anymore by the 'Wasserschutzpolizei' and these boats fell into the hands of a variety of owners.
This particular vessel found its way to The Netherlands where it was thoroughly restored inside and out by its passionate new owners. They named it 'Grenzeloos', which is Dutch for 'Without Borders'. Who could have predicted at that time how suitable that name actually was?
In 2022 the Grenzeloos crossed the Atlantic to move to the Hudson River which is now its new habitat. It is as if the Grenzeloos was always destined to sail this beautiful body of water, as it's elegant hull is perfectly suited for the movements of the Hudson River.
On Board
The Grenzeloos is outfitted with a beautiful bamboo interior and decorated with black and white details. The layout is sweet and simple marrying an industrial and contemporary aesthetic.
There is a spacious outdoor recreation area.
Weather permitting the tent generally mostly removed, but we always leave a part covered to accommodate for some shade. There is also the cabin, where the captain resides, that provides some indoor seating.

We have a couple of different river cruise packages available to you.
All our cruises are with a captain. He will take you out on the water and will be happy to accommodate any wishes you might have in terms of route and planning.
A variety of libations and food will be served by your host.
